What is stored
We store the target first name or nickname, the selected curse, optional reason, sender visibility, payment status, and time of the ritual. If you choose automatic email delivery, we also store the recipient email and delivery status privately. Stripe handles payment details; PettyHex does not receive or store card numbers.
What the recipient can see
The recipient sees the target, fictional curse, presentation, and date. A public sender name is shown only if you choose to reveal it. A private reason is omitted from the public response entirely. Recipient pages have no search listing and are marked noindex, but anyone with a link can forward it.
Cookies and analytics
A necessary secure cookie allows this browser to access your purchase. It expires after 30 days. We record product events such as checkout, link copying, recipient visits, and revenge clicks. We do not install advertising or third-party tracking cookies in this build. Rate limiting uses a hashed network identifier for a short period.
Service providers
Your payment is processed by Stripe under its privacy policy. The production hosting and PostgreSQL providers will process the data needed to run the service. Entered names and reasons are also sent to OpenAI’s moderation service when configured, to screen for abusive content. When automatic email delivery is selected, Resend processes the recipient email and a fixed message with the private curse link. Email and SMS drafts open in your own apps for you to send; SMS is not sent automatically by PettyHex.
Data retention and requests
Purchases and event records are retained in the configured database. Before launch, the operator must publish support contact details and a retention period, and provide a process for access, deletion, abuse, and refund requests. Payment records may need to be retained where required by law.
Launch notice
This policy describes the current implementation. The operator must finalize provider details, retention terms, contact information, and applicable privacy obligations before accepting live purchases.
